People searching for Huss Valley console controls usually have the same problem: a friend on PC is dashing and stopping on a dime, and they cannot find the same moves on a controller. The developer has not published an official control sheet for any device, and the game description is just "RUN!!". So this page separates three things clearly: the keyboard inputs that written guides have confirmed, how Roblox maps those actions on gamepads and touch screens in general, and the parts we have not been able to verify yet.

Confirmed PC keyboard controls

Two independent written guides tested the keyboard layout and agree on the following:

  • W, A, S, D: move. Movement is momentum-based, so you speed up gradually and slide when you release.
  • Space while holding A or D: lateral dash. The dash only goes left or right. Holding W at the same time gives a diagonal forward slide.
  • Alt: instant stop. Cancels your slide immediately.
  • E: interact. This is how you revive a downed teammate and respond to prompts.

Abilities and consumables are activated through on-screen slots once equipped. We could not confirm a fixed key for them, so watch the hotbar labels in your own game.

Why console mapping is harder here

On most Roblox games, a controller just works: the left stick moves, A jumps, and the camera sits on the right stick. This game breaks two of those assumptions.

First, the dash is a combination input, a direction plus a button, and it only fires sideways. On a controller, that means you tilt the left stick left or right and press whatever button the game binds to Space. Roblox's default gamepad layout maps the keyboard jump action to the bottom face button (A on Xbox, Cross on PlayStation), so if the developer reused the jump action for the dash, that is where it will sit. We have not confirmed this on a console ourselves.

Second, the instant stop uses Alt, a key that has no default controller equivalent in Roblox. A game has to bind it manually. If the developer did not add a controller binding, console players may not have an instant stop at all, which would be a real disadvantage. Some players report using an on-screen button instead; we could not verify that either, so treat it as unconfirmed.

The lateral dash is the move console players most need to find. It fires left or right only.

How to find your Huss Valley console controls in game

Until official documentation exists, the fastest method is to test:

  1. Join a server and wait until you are a Runner in an early round, when the single Chaser is busy.
  2. Tilt the left stick fully left and press each face button one at a time. The one that produces a sideways slide is your dash.
  3. Try the shoulder buttons and stick clicks while running to find any stop or ability binding.
  4. Open the Roblox menu and check the Settings tab. Roblox lets you adjust camera sensitivity and vibration, but in-game rebinding depends on the developer.
  5. Watch the screen for button prompts when you are near a downed teammate. The prompt usually shows the controller button for interact.

Write down what you find. Developers often change bindings in updates, and this one has been updating the shop almost daily.

Mobile touch controls

On phones and tablets, Roblox shows a virtual thumbstick on the left and a jump button on the right. For this game:

  • Moving uses the virtual stick, with the same acceleration and slide.
  • Dashing most likely uses the right-side action button while the stick is pushed sideways, mirroring the PC combination. Unconfirmed.
  • Instant stop and abilities should appear as extra on-screen buttons if the developer has added them. If you do not see them, they may not be supported on touch yet.

Mobile players should keep their thumb light on the stick. Because movement is momentum-based, small corrections are smoother than sharp flicks.

Camera settings that help on every device

Whatever your input, keep the camera aimed at the Chasers rather than the finish line. On a controller, a slightly higher camera sensitivity helps you check over your shoulder without slowing down. On PC, many players turn on shift lock so their avatar faces the camera direction, which makes diagonal dashes more predictable. Shift lock is a Roblox setting found in the in-game Settings menu if the developer allows it.

Huss Valley console controls for Chasers

Chaser actions are simpler. You move, you swing the knife, and you use one ability. On a controller:

  • The knife swing is usually on the right trigger or a face button, following the Roblox default for tool activation. Check your prompt.
  • Rufus's Leash throws straight ahead, so aim with your body, not just the camera.
  • Rocket Shoes dash in your movement or camera direction from a standstill, which is easier on a stick than it sounds: point the camera, tap the ability.

What we will add when it is confirmed

We are keeping this page strict about sources. Confirmed today: the four keyboard inputs above. Not confirmed: exact controller buttons for dash, stop and abilities; the existence of a stop button on mobile and console; any official rebinding menu. As soon as the developer publishes a control sheet, or we can test all three bindings directly, we will list them here.

Practical advice for controller players today

  • Practice the dash on the stick first. It is the single most important Runner skill.
  • If you cannot find an instant stop, replace it with early angle changes. Turning sooner does much of the same job.
  • Lean more on Runner abilities like Pocket Door and Cloak, which do not need precise timing.
  • Use the Rescue Kit consumable. It covers the mistakes a missing stop button can cause.

For the movement theory behind all of this, read the running mechanics page. For the full rules, see the rules walkthrough.

Choosing a device if you have more than one

If you can play on either PC or a console, the keyboard currently has the clearest advantage, simply because every Runner technique has a documented key. The dash, the instant stop and the interact prompt are all confirmed on keyboard. On a controller, you may spend your first sessions discovering bindings instead of practicing. That gap tends to close as developers polish controller support, so it is worth re-testing after big updates. Touch screens are the hardest for precise jukes because your thumb covers part of the view; if you play on a phone, a tablet's bigger screen makes a noticeable difference for reading Chaser angles.

Quick troubleshooting

  • Dash not working: make sure you are pressing a sideways direction at the same time. A dash with no direction does nothing.
  • Controller not detected: Roblox needs the controller connected before you join. Rejoin with it plugged in.
  • Camera spinning: lower stick sensitivity in Roblox Settings.
  • Prompts showing keyboard keys on console: rejoin. The prompt style follows the last input device Roblox detected.

When in doubt, remember that Huss Valley console controls follow the same rules as everyone else's: momentum, sideways dashes and a one-hit knife. Find your dash button first, and the rest of the game opens up.
